Sister Carol Cimino
is a Sister of St. Joseph of Rochester. Sister Carol has a BA in history from
Nazareth University, a master’s in history from Syracuse University, a master’s
in education from the University of Rochester, and a doctorate in educational
leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Sister Carol has been a teacher and
an administrator in elementary and high schools, and served for 20 years as a
member of the Catholic School Leadership Team at Manhattan College. She was
director of the Catholic School Administrators Association of NYS in the Albany
area from 1987 to 2003, worked for Catholic School Management Inc., and Sadlier
Publishing from 2003 to 2013.
She became superintendent of
Catholic schools in the Diocese of Buffalo in 2013, and retired in 2018. She
has, since then, volunteered in several Catholic schools, been an interim
principal twice, worked as a kitchen helper and was kindergarten aide for three
months in spring, 2023. She continues to
serve the Buffalo Diocese on various committees and continues to teach as a
substitute. She also does consulting and public speaking for dioceses around
the country.
