Book Study- "Boundless Compassion" by Joyce Rupp
Facilitated by Mary Ellen Darling, Deacon George and Paula Welch
Wed, Jan 8 - Wed, Feb 12
9:30 am
How do we move from hostility to hospitality? Have you ever wondered how to respond to all the hate and marginalization the world is throwing at us? What are the ways we can turn to prayer. How do I take care of myself so I can help others and be a witness to those who are suffering.
This book by Sister Joyce Rupp invites us to experience the prayer of compassion together. Group gatherings enrich the experience of reading Boundless Compassion: Creating a Way of Life, as group members benefit from one another’s insight’s and share in a common cause. Participants are asked to set aside time to read and reflect on each day’s content.
Session One as orientation, followed by six weekly gatherings corresponding with the six themes in the book: Compassion as a Way of Life, Welcoming Ourselves, The River of Suffering, From Hostility to Hospitality, A Thousand Unbreakable Links and Becoming a Compassionate Presence
