ADVENT Day Retreat: God Present and Coming: Hope for Creation
with Sr. Mary McGlone, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet
Sat, Dec 7
COST = $60.00
Jurgen Moltmann, a German theologian, says that hope "has the chance of a meaningful existence only when reality itself is in a state of historic flux and when historic reality has room for open possibilities."
We will use the movement of the Magnificat to contemplate God's presence in our world. Based on that, we will look at the themes of Advent from the perspective of God's invitation in Creation, the Incarnation, and God's invitation to the fulfillment. We will look to Mary as a daughter of Abraham and our mentor for how to live in hope in a world in the process of radical change.
