Deborah Lync, LCSW
Deb has been the MSW Field Director at Keuka College,
Division of Social Work, and she is a licensed clinical social worker with 20+
years of social work experience. Deb has
a private psychotherapy practice in Canandaigua, NY and she has a deep
commitment to improving the lives of children and families. She is a skilled, compassionate, and caring therapist. In her practice, she
offers a warm, caring, and safe place to address a wide range of issues and
experiences. She focuses on helping individuals to identify their strengths,
values, and goals so they can live a more fulfilling life. She has experience
working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who may be struggling
with relationship issues, parenting issues, grief, loss, depression, anxiety,
traumatic experiences, and many other life challenges. Deb completed a Master of Social Work degree
at New York University and she holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics/Computer
Science degree from Villanova University.
Phil Miller, DSW, LCSW
Dr. Miller has been the MSW Program Director and an
Assistant Professor at Keuka College, Division of Social Work. He is a licensed
clinical social worker with 25+ years of social work experience. He completed a
Doctor of Social Work from Rutgers University and a Master of Social Work
degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in mental
health and specialization in family therapy. He is a certified Gottman Marital
Therapist and spent 8-years active duty in the United States Air Force as a
clinical social worker. Dr. Miller’s
research interests include young couples, military social work, and
experiential learning. Dr. Miller values
professionalism and provides a meaningful and effective treatment experience
using evidence-based practices. He uses a holistic approach drawing on personal
and environmental strengths and adapts treatment to meet individual needs. Dr.
Miller works with couples and individuals experiencing grief, depression,
anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and spiritual and religious deconstruction.
